What’s involved in bulk excavations?
- Site strip - clear out of all material on site, from vegetation and topsoil to hard-standings and trees.
- Reduced level excavation – if levelling the ground means going underneath the top of the subsoil, specialist machinery will be needed to drop the level of the foundations
- Break out and remove existing hard surfacing – from empty houses to derelict buildings or unwanted car parks
- Site remediation – the removal of polluted or contaminated soil, sediment, surface water, or groundwater, to reduce the impact on people or the environment.
- Removal of arisings off site – clearing of any cut wood, trees and stumps and ensure they’re disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner
