What foundations should we use?
- Ground beams - designed to span between pad foundations, piles etc. they are used as an alternative to traditional foundations.
- Strip foundations - standard or designed strip foundations, at various depths, with or without steel mesh as required.
- Raft foundations – designed by our structural engineers if the ground conditions don’t allow a traditional strip foundation.
- Deep trench fill foundations - this avoids the need for bricklaying below ground by almost completely filling the trench excavation with concrete.
- Ground bearing slabs - our structural engineers will assess the best slab based on loadings, span and ground conditions.
- Suspended concrete slabs – if ground slabs aren’t an option, we can design and intall suspended slabs so the ground floor is supported on beams.
- Precast insulated slabs – ideal for ground floor residential and commercial buildings, it releases heat is stored through the day during the night to minimize the temperature drop.
